GIANT TOADSTOOL
Pinewood Studios - Creative Media Skills
MATERIALS
Polystyrene, insulation foam, Fillite, PVA glue, fibreglass tissue and emulsion paint.
A hot wire and sculpting tool was used to create a polystyrene toadstool.
The stork and cup of the toadstool were created separately, then joined together with insulation foam. Detail was added using a soldering iron.
To make the polystyrene more durable a coat of PVA glue and Fillite were painted onto fibreglass tissue. Insulation foam was used to create the white dots. Red emulsion paint was added to give it a vivid mushroom colour.
