HOUSE SIGN RESTORATION

MATERIALS

Sandpaper, tracing paper, clear varnish and acrylic paint.

To rescue this tattered wooden house sign Henrietta started by tracing over the existing letters. Then she sanded the wood back to get rid of its weathered/aged surface.

A coupe of coats of vanish were then brushed on. 

The letters were then re-traced onto the fresh wood and painted with black acrylic paint. To seal the finished sign, another few coats of clear varnish were applied.
